Canada Online has compiled the latest ranking of Canadian and global business directories based on traffic share data from Similarweb (September 2025). Only true business directories were included — platforms that list companies, services, or professionals — while people-search engines, genealogy sites, postal-code databases, and unrelated portals were excluded.

The full dataset includes the top 100 most-visited directories in Canada. Below we present the top 25 leaders ranked by traffic share, followed by a broader list of notable international directories.

How We Filtered

  • Scope: Canadian and international directories with verified business listings.
  • Excluded: personal-data lookups, white-pages, postal/zip-code tools, and content farms.
  • Metric: traffic share (%) according to Similarweb September 2025.
  • Accuracy: exact shares for leaders; approximate ranges (0.04–0.01%) for others.

How to Use This List

Priority 1 – Core Directories (Highest Impact)

yelp.ca, yellowpages.ca, canada411.ca, and cdncompanies.com carry the bulk of search visibility. Keep your NAP (Name, Address, Phone) accurate, refresh hours, upload photos, and verify categories.

Priority 2 – Canadian Directories (.ca domains)

Claim your business on Canada247, Ourbis, Cylex Canada, Hotfrog Canada, and other .ca directories to reinforce domestic citations.

Priority 3 – International Directories with Canadian Sections

Use networks such as Superpages, Tupalo, Europages, and Yellowbot for diversified citations and referral traffic.

Why Citations Still Matter

Even with modern AI-driven search, Google and Bing continue to rely on consistent business citations to validate legitimacy and local presence. Accurate listings strengthen EEAT signals (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness) and improve local map visibility.
